Lead MIS (Manufacturing Information Systems) Technician
With more than a dozen years of experience as a computers, scanner, printers, and networking technician at one of ZF Automotive largest electronics plant, Brad is the current Lead Technician in the CIM department (Computerized Industrial Manufacturing) also referred to as MIS. His duties include:
- Production I.T. Security (Physical and Data)
- PC Imaging and Software Installation
- Network Infrastructure Installation and Management
- Installation and Programming of Scanner Systems
- Design and Implementation of Pattern Recognition Imager Systems
- Installing and Maintaining Label Printers
- PC Management with CMS and Active Directory
- SQL Experience
- Delegating Work Assignments
- Software and Hardware Troubleshooting
- Experience with Office/Teams/Outlook
- Troubleshoot Engineering Configurations in CIM Systems
Eco Friendly Handyman Husband
A point of personal pride for Brad is his abilities at home repair and domestic arts. One way Brad reduces the families waste (and expenditures) is by keeping things working longer. Appliance, automotive, plumbing, electrical, and all manor of furniture and fixtures have been repaired to working order.
As a household we recycle rigorously. Everything that is recyclable in our region we recycle. Glass, plastics, metals, paper all have separate bins in our house and in general we produce about a single bag of garbage a week.
Brad finds great joy in being a supportive and loving husband and father. There is no household task that needs doing that's below him, he's an experienced cook, and his personal Gluten Free pancake recipe is a Sunday morning tradition.
Level or Die
Brad loves RPG games, fantasy stories, and science fiction shows like Star Trek. Each of them inform a defining aspect of him.
- RPG Games - Every day is a chance for experience and levels. To increase your skills, your strength score, your intelligence. He is the main character in his world...not an NPC. Does he get distracted by side quests sometimes, sure, but every day is a new adventure with quests to conquer.
- Fantasy Novels - Knights of pure intent and stalwart heart, mages of keen intellect, the power of faith and perseverance. Brad aspires to these examples and Paragons of conviction and skill. Though he has accepted he will not likely ever master a fireball spell, he hasn't ruled out making an actual Dungeon...because escape rooms are a money making thing, also because being an ACTUAL Dungeon Master would be awesome.
- Star Trek - Nothing encompasses Brads Morality like the utopic vison of Star Trek. Humanity working on concert to the benefit of all? Exploring the unknown and pushing the boundaries of science. Health and prosperity for all? It is a dream that deserves realization. He seeks a people who feel the same.
Amateur Programmer and Tech-hobbyist
Brad has always enjoyed programming, graphics, and 3D crafts. Has he written a program that would vote for a picture of his kid for a cute baby contest, change his IP address, then refresh the page and vote again? Certainly probably not. Has he brought up source code for a program at work and debugged it exceed it previous program limits when no software engineers where available, definitely. Hack a database to correct operator data entry errors, cranked out a immigration to New Zealand webpage, custom craft a 3d model of a funny trophy for a friend...all yes.
